1962 Cadillac final

The final part three of the 1962 Cadillac. I finished the model build and took it to Ultimate Unwrap and did all of the UV work. After that I added it to Rad Sandbox and then made a demo you can download for free and play. I hope you enjoyed the build. Download the demo, download, unzip it and play. The graphics are adaptable so you can set them to your own. This is me working today 11-11-24

Today I wanted to make a landscape to serve three purposes. First to show how easy it is to do in OFX and second, so I have a desert looking landscape to add the El Camino to and drive it around. And third? Well, Horvi likes hilly terrain so he will probably use it for something :). So, I started by making a few height maps. No sweat, you are simply making a map using shades of gray to denote height. Try it with OFX, experiment a few times until you get the hang of doing it. You will see in the video that once I found something I thought translated well I used the clone stamp in PhotoScape to clone an entire random map while leaving several random high spots. I took that to OFX and as you see I made a wonderful map that just needed a few adjustments to make it useable. I then switched to Ultimate Unwrap and added further model improvements. Didn't know you could do that? You can. It has a ton of modeling features. After those adjustments and fixes I added just two textures. Both are seamless textures. That is where I left off today. El Camino 4 - The Lifted Models

I did two render builds for the lifted El Camino, one a color assigned and shaded via emissive and actual, the second with the use of an image map and a patriotic color scheme that the car I was inspired by had (That one was a lot wilder). I finished up the UV and graphic work for the two 4X4 renders so only the street version is left. After that I will add them to the site and possibly to Rad Sandbox or Render Studio.

A second look at the model build. I have added an S10 frame, heavily modified to fit and with leaf-spring axels added front and rear for the four wheel drive.
